According to customs data, China exported 5,673 metric tons of lithium hydroxide in August 2025, marking a 355% month-over-month increase and a 46% year-over-year decline.
By destination, South Korea and Japan together accounted for 68% of total exports:
Additionally, China imported 1,224 mt of lithium hydroxide in August, showing a significant month-over-month increase.
